Gone A-Stray...

Well, stockists must be like buses...waiting & hoping...and then a few come along at once!  If you've been for a shopping trip recently in Belfast, you may have noticed 'Stray Jewellery', a stylish & quirky new shop in Church Lane, and also one of my newest stockists!

Stray Jewellery opened in early February 2011 so it's still brand sparkly new and a gorgeous place to discover and rummage around in if you haven't been before.

I met Stray Jewellery's owner & designer Julie at St. George's Market, where we both have stalls on Sundays. It's great to see a fellow market stall holder opening up their own 'proper shop' - very inspiring! Julie has put lots of creative touches around the shop, with lots of quirky and cool little things (not just jewellery) both for sale and for decoration, with vintage furniture & pieces around the place.

I love this cute vintage poodle!
Is this the coolest teapot ever?

Stray Jewellery has now started stocking a selected range of my cards, and it's so lovely to see them dotted amongst all the other gorgeous things - which is why I had to ask Julie if I could take some pics for the blog.

So if you're a fan of vintage-inspired jewellery & bits n pieces, quirky things & a good browse in somewhere a little different, head down to Stray Jewellery and have a good nosey!

Big thanks to Julie for letting me snap away with my camera. If you're wondering did I resist all the lovely things while I was there? Nope...I took home something pretty ;)

How Bazaar!

As promised, here's some pics of the Totally Bazaar Handmade & Vintage Fair in Belfast on 4th April 2011. It was a great day with a fantastic atmosphere, superb live music all day from 'Buskers' Den' - I have to mention the fantastic Della Storm's 'Vintage Fashionista' song, loved it!

So much creativity & talent on show was very inspiring and more than a few of the goodies in the photos ended up being taken home with me too!

Totally Bazaar!

This Sunday 3rd April, we're taking part in a new fair organised by the fantastic Frock Around The Clock - 'Totally Bazaar'.

Here's the write-up about the fair:

The Totally Bazaar - Vintage & Handmade Fair is a new event for 2011, which celebrates the recycling ethos of vintage. Totally Bazaar will showcase a mix of 50 sellers - vintage dealers and Irish creative designers - offering both genuine vintage pieces and clothing, accessories, jewellery and homewares which recycle vintage textiles and found objects. Totally Bazaar will demonstrate just how gorgeous and glamorous recycling can be, transforming the old & discarded into the new & coveted.

An eco-shoppers paradise...we believe that ethical is beautiful and are inspired by the make-do-and-mend sensibility and craftsmanship of yesteryear. It is this belief that ensures that at our vintage fairs, you will find only high quality vintage and creations that echo the beauty of the part and the resourcefulness of vintage glamour.

We've got some new stationery goodies (not just cards!) that'll be on sale for the first time at the Totally Bazaar, and with it being Mother's Day this Sunday, it's the perfect place to bring your mum along for a good old browse. I'll have my camera in tow so will post pics here soon.

Totally Bazaar is on at the Holiday Inn, Ormeau Avenue, Belfast on Sunday 3rd April from 11am - 4.30pm. Admission is £3.00 For more info & list of exhibitors, click here
